 Gifted and Talented

The Gifted and Talented / Aim Higher Coordinator works to ensure that all students with special abilities are able to access a range of learning activities designed to extend and challenge them. All Curriculum teams have to monitor and provide for the identified students to ensure their needs are being met.

For example, groups of students will visit universities such as Warwick, Aston and Oxford to have their horizons broadened through taster sessions i.e. Law or Science Fun Days. Many come back determined to get there!

Gifted and TalentedWe work with other schools to provide problem-solving days geared around Mathematics, Technology and Debating.

Students with specific talents are encouraged and developed through opportunities such as producing artwork for exhibitions, guiding sporting talent towards specialist sports clubs and attending additional GCSE courses after school.
