Best Ever GCSE Results – Yet again in 2007

49% Five A* - C Grades at GCSE – a 20% increase over the last two years ! Whitley Abbey students excelled yet again in their GCSE results this summer. This set of results demonstrates that the School is the place to be "the best that you can be”.

This high level of achievement is down to the hard work and determination to succeed of all who work in the School. It was a real team effort. Our students have learnt to rise to a challenge, teachers are delivering consistently good lessons day in and day out and learning support staff are very successful in removing individual students obstacles to learning.

Where’s the evidence for this?

• A Business Subject inspection by OFSTED in June 2007 judges provision to be “Good” in every category. 
  
• Whitley Abbey Business and Enterprise College is the only secondary school in the south east of Coventry to better its LEA 5 A – C % targets ( for five GCSEs including Maths and English)
  
• We are one of only two schools in Coventry to meet its LEA 5 A – C grades targets.
  
• We were awarded Business and Enterprise Specialist Status in July 2007 having met exacting Dfes targets for improvement.
