Prospective Students & Parents

We welcome all prospective parents and students to visit us and see what makes Whitley Abbey a special place to be. You only need to contact us to make an appointment.

There are also special opportunities every year for you to find out more about us. We hold an annual Open Evening every July with a special day for primary school students to come and work with us. At the Open Evening the whole school is available for your inspection with a great deal to see and do. Year 5 and 6 students usually attend with their parents.

Prospective Students and ParentsProspective Post 16 students have an Induction event lasting several days towards the middle of July and a special parents' evening is held during this event. Post 16 students will find out about Post 16 courses and consider the demands of further study in order to help them make sound decisions about continued education.

If you are a Year 5 / Year 6 Parent and want to apply for a secondary school place at Whitley Abbey you should complete the Common Application Form contained in the booklet "Secondary Education in Coventry" or you can complete an on-line application form at the following web site address:

www.coventry.gov.uk/admissions

The Local Authority booklets containing the application form(s) for parents to complete for a secondary school place for September 2008 are normally delivered via a child’s primary school at the beginning of July.
