Whitley Abbey is a "Good and Oustanding school" - OFSTED April 2008

On the back of gaining Specialist Status and also our best ever GCSE examination results OFSTED have also judged the school a success.

Overall we were judged to be good with outstanding features. In fact we are good with many outstanding features - 3 of the 7 main judgements were outstanding.

In Leadership, "the Headteacher provides outstanding direction, ably supported by Leaders and Managers at all levels".

In Care and Guidance, "the school places a high priority on the personal development and well being of all the students and as a consequence is outstanding."

We will now aim to deliver an overall outstanding package - watch this space for the 2011 judgement.
